Hello, beautiful. Sour Tangie smells like a tropical vacation and packs a pretty good punch (pun intended). DNA Genetics has done something wonderful with their version of Sour Diesel x Tangie. This is a great, approachable Sativa for those who have some experience with THC. If you are new to cannabis, use this strain with caution – it could cause some anxiety due to the lightheaded, cerebral feeling. This strain gives me an uplifted and happy feeling, while allowing me to relax and unwind. Sour Tangie has the potential to leave you feeling pretty toasty. In low doses, it’s fairly functional – I feel like I could do my weekly Costco run after a bong hit or two. With higher doses, it can leave you feeling like you just got off of one of those “spinning strawberry” rides at the fair, so don’t overdo it if you have places to be and things to do. This strain is not sedating, however, so it can be used at any time of the day. Overall, I give a resounding “YES” to DNA Genetics for this strain and will definitely order again.

Sight, Touch, Taste & Smell: 36/40
Sour Tangie has me feeling sentimental. This strain tastes like the orange “Tang” juice mix that was a staple in all households during the 90’s. It has a sweet and sour profile that actually makes my lips pucker and my mouth water. The generous sized buds are airy, somewhat leafy and covered in hairy trichomes. Many of the leafs have a purple-ish hue. The buds smell of orange citrus and sugar. Sour Tangie produces a thick smoke and vapour, but surprisingly doesn’t cause much coughing or chest heaviness. In a blind-smell test, I rated Sour Tangie first place out of 4 strains (Sour Tangie, Birds Eye, Sour Kush, and TWD Lot #2). It’s really that good.

Cost: 4/10
You’re breaking my heart, DNA Genetics. 12 dollars per gram is pretty steep by my standards. If this were $10 per gram, I would not hesitate to purchase larger quantities. For $12 per gram, it feels like a splurge.

What I like:
+ It has such an intoxicating, unique aroma. Truly a gem for the senses.
+ It has moderate cerebral effects without causing sedation and can be used at any time of the day – YAY! This is a big plus in my books.
+  It has uplifting, positive effects on my mood.

What I don’t like:
– The flavour and taste are super unique, but for the price, I would expect some mind-blowing effects that were just not there.
– Again, the price. Even if the effects were mind-blowing, it is not ideal for the budget.
